Bangladesh Bank has unveiled new designs for the 2, 5, 10, 100, 200, and 500 Taka bank notes.
The release date for these redesigned notes will be announced later. Each of the notes features the signature of Governor Ahsan H. Mansur.
The new 500 Taka note includes an image of the Central Shaheed Minar on one side and the Supreme Court on the other.
The 200 Taka note displays Dhaka University`s Aparajeyo Bangla on one side and a `Graffiti-2024` artwork from the July uprising on the reverse.
On the 100 Taka note, the Sixty Dome Mosque in Bagerhat appears on one side, while the Sundarbans is depicted on the other.
The 10 Taka note features Baitul Mukarram Mosque on one side and student-drawn graffiti from the July uprising on the opposite side.
The 5 Taka note showcases the Star Mosque (Tara Masjid) on one side and another piece of ‘Graffiti-2024’ from the July movement on the reverse.
The 2 Taka note includes the Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals Memorial on one side and the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur on the other.
These designs fall under a new series titled "Historical and Archaeological Architecture of Bangladesh."
