On Saturday (December 4) morning, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has raided a house suspecting it to be a militant hideout in Nilphamari Sadar area.
RAB has also recovered a bomb and bomb-making equipment from the cordoned off house. The bomb was later defused by RAB's Bomb Disposal Unit.
Alongside RAB, local police is also at the scene.
Earlier on Friday (December 3) night, RAB raided five villages in Sadar upazila and arrested five suspects.
The arrestees are Ahidul Islam Ahid (26), Ahed Ali (30), Abdullah Al Mamun alias Shuja (26), Zahidul Islam (26) and Nur Amin (28).
Assistant Superintendent ANM Imran Khan of RAB (legal and media wing), confirmed the matter to the media.
