President Abdul Hamid has received the President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih today morning at about 8:30 am, to attend the celebrations of Bangladesh's golden jubilee of independence and birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
President Solih will attend the National Parade Ground function at Tejgaon with President Hamid at 4:30 pm on Wednesday.
The Maldivian President, as part of his three-day Bangladesh visit will pay a courtesy call on President Hamid at Credential Hall of the Bangabhaban at 7 pm on Thursday and also sign the visitors' book at Bangabhaban and witness the signing of some Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) between the two countries, the press secretary added.
Later, he will join a dinner and cultural program hosted by his Bangladesh counterpart at Durbar Hall ground of Bangabhaban.
