Rahmat Ullah, a Bangladeshi film producer living in Australia, has filed a defamation case of Tk 100 crore against Dhallywood actor Shakib Khan. This time he filed a defamation case against Shakib Khan on serious matters such as misconduct, false assurances, and raping a female producer.
He filed the case in Dhaka's first joint district judge's court at around 11:30 am today.
Rahmat Ullah and his lawyer Dr. Md. Tabarak Hossain Bhuiya confirmed the matter to the media.
This Australian expatriate producer was arrested on April 13 this year under section 499/500/501 of the Penal Code in Dhaka's CMM Court. Rashidul filed another defamation case in Alam's court. The court directed the PBI, a special branch of the police, to investigate the case.
On the other hand, Shakib Khan also went to Gulshan police station on the night of March 18 to file a defamation case against producer Rahmat Ullah. However, he filed a written complaint in this regard at the DB office on Minto Road in the capital. Later, on March 23, Shakib Khan filed a case against producer Rahmat Ullah in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arafatul Rakib.
Shakib Khan later filed another case against Rahmat Ullah in the Dhaka Tribunal under the Digital Security Act.
