Railway job test to be cancelled if question leak proof found: PSC

The chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, well-known as the PSC, has said the recruitment exam for the railway engineer post will be cancelled if the allegation over question paper leaks is substantiated.

"A committee has already been formed to investigate the allegations of question paper leaks. The committee will submit a report within 15 days. Based on the committee‍‍`s recommendations, the exam will be cancelled," said  Md Sohorab Hossain.

The PSC chairman was addressing a press conference at the PSC headquarters in the capital‍‍`s Agargaon area on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier in the a group of job-seekers organised a human chain and held a protest rally in front of the building, demanding the cancellation of the recruitment exam for 10th-grade railway posts under the PSC.

The recruitment exam for 516 sub-assistant engineer posts in 11 categories of the 10th grade of the railway took place on July 5.

This development comes as the country reels from a news report highlighting question leak in government jobs.

However, the PSC on Monday night cllaimed that it did not get any allegation of question paper leaks in 30 government job tests in the last 12 years. It also termed the allegation in the news report as “baseless.”

Meanwhile, the PSC also on Monday night confirmed the formation of a three-member committee to investigate the allegations of question paper leaks.
