A reprieve from the sweltering summer heat is on the way in six divisions of Bangladesh. This inference can be drawn from the latest weather bulletin.
"Showers are likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Barisal & Chattogram divisions," the Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) said in the bulletin on Tuesday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere, according to the weather department. However, the day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
In an extended outlook, the forecast mentioned the likeliness of rain or thunder showers continuing in the northern part of the country.
The maximum rainfall was recorded at 23 mm in Sylhet in the last 24 hours till 6 am on Tuesday.
