Two more bodies of fishermen were recovered by Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) on Tuesday.
This was the fourth day of rescue operation by BGC, after fourteen fishermen went missing on February 4 since several trawlers capsized at sea due to violent weather conditions.
Since the rescue operations were launched, six bodies have been recovered so far, and eight are still missing.
The information was confirmed to the media by Officer In-Charge (OC) Prahlad Chandra Roy of Dublar Char Forest camp.
On Monday, two bodies were recovered in the Dublarchar area, and another two bodies were found on Sunday.
The OC said, Members of Coast Guard, Forest Department officials, local Fishing Trawler Owners' Association and the Sundarbans Dublarchar Fishermen Group are still looking for the missing victims.
On February 4, at least 32 fishing trawlers including 12 of Barguna, Pirojpur and 20 of Bagerhat, capsized due to storms in different parts of the Bay of Bengal.
