The Election Commission will start updating the voter list from May 20, reports The Daily Star.
Representatives of the EC will go door to door for three weeks from May 20, to collect information on prospective voters, Ashok Kumar Debnath, EC additional secretary told the newspaper.
From May 20, enumerators will start visiting door to door in 135 upazilas of the country. "They (enumerators) will collect information of prospective voters," he said.
Those born between January 1, 2004, and January 1, 2007, would be eligible to become voters this time, Ashok said.
Bangladesh currently has over 11.32 crore voters.
