Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) reported on the 12th national election not accordance to international norms, according to State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Arafat.
"No international journal will publish their research, as the study did not adhere to international standards," he remarked.
He said this to reporters on Thursday afternoon at the Secretariat`s conference room of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
"Those who have done this research on the parliamentary elections have no research experience," opined the state minister.
The Election Commission`s resolute stance against anomalies was disregarded. Instead, misinformation have been disseminated in an effort to lower their morale, Arafat added.
"They displayed people`s opinions as information. A report based solely on the outcomes of 50 out of 42,000 centers during the entire election cycle can never be reliable. How is it feasible to make available a report that examines the findings of so few centers?" Arafat questioned.
"They have not had any research published in foreign journals. They`re attempting to deceive people by spreading incorrect information," Arafat fathered.
On January 7, the 12th national parliamentary election was held across the country where ruling Awami League bagged land-slide victory with 223 constituencies out of total 300 seats.
