Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said the days are being changed under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Hasan Mahmud was addressing a programme as the chief guest titled “Din Bodoler Mela” organised by ‘Poster Cultural Sangsad and Vajrakantha’ at the Dhaka University’s Swaparjito Swadhinota Square around 10 am Sunday.
Hasan, also the joint general secretary of ruling Awami League, said “We have committed in 2008 to bringing the change and we have done it smoothly under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
“If we compare today’s scenario with the scenario of thirteen years back we clearly see that the day has been changed,” he furthered.
In the 90s the slogan was that the wages for the workers should be equal to the price of three and a half kg of rice but nowadays the workers can buy 12-13 kgs of rice with their one-day earnings.
He said that the country could have gone much further in the last thirteen years but it has been interrupted because of the destructive politics of BNP-Jamaat and their allies.
