Bangladesh has dispatched a second consignment of emergency relief and medicines to support victims of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar.
The relief mission, conducted under the directive of Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus, was carried out by three transport aircraft from the Bangladesh Army (BA) and the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) on Tuesday morning.
According to CA`s Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, the mission includes a specialized rescue and medical team comprising personnel from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) experts and doctors from both the military and civilian sectors. In total, 55 rescue and medical professionals are part of the mission, supported by 37 crew members on board the aircraft.

The relief effort includes essential self-sustainment equipment for the teams, such as rations, hygiene facilities, communication tools, and cooking utensils.
Additionally, Bangladesh has provided eight tonnes of dry food, 2.5 tonnes of drinking water, four tonnes of medicine, one tonne of hygiene products, and 1.5 tonnes of relief tents to aid the affected communities.
This follows the first emergency relief mission sent on Sunday, which delivered vital supplies, including medicines, tents, dry food, and medical teams.
The Bangladesh Armed Forces, led by the Bangladesh Army, have been at the forefront of this humanitarian assistance effort, reinforcing the country`s commitment to supporting its neighbor during this crisis.
Authorities emphasize that Bangladesh remains dedicated to assisting Myanmar`s earthquake victims and will continue monitoring the situation to provide further aid if necessary.
