The High Court has asked the authorities concerned to give opportunities to the MPO-listed ICT teachers so that they can take part in the registration process of Non Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).
A High Court Division Bench comprising Justice Kashefa Hussain and Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque passed the order on Monday responding to a writ petition filed on February 20.
Secretary of Secondary and Higher Secondary Department of Ministry of Education and relevant officials, including Chairman of NTRCA, were asked to comply with the order.
On February 6, NTRCA released the 'Special Public Notice-2022'. The notification published a list of 15, 163 vacant posts for MPO and non-MPO posts in schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical and business management departments.
However, there was no opportunity to apply for MPO teachers in Information Communication and Technology department in private educational institutions.
Later, a total of 101 MPO-listed ICT teachers filed a writ seeking an opportunity to apply in the NTRCA recruitment process as departmental candidates.
