The global Covid-19 cases have now crossed 665 million.
The latest data shows, the total case count mounted to 665,546,183 while the death toll from the virus reached 6,699,015 on Tuesday morning.
United States has recorded 102,686,752 cases so far, while 1,118,478 people have died from the virus in the country, both highest counts around the world.
India reported 173 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with the active caseload standing at 2,670.
The country also logged two more deaths related to COVID-19, taking the death toll to 530,707 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said, reports UNB.
Covid in Bangladesh
Bangladesh registered 14 more Covid cases in the 24 hours till Monday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 2,037,156, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
However, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,440 as no new fatalities were reported.
