Bangladesh has recorded 101 dengue-related deaths so far in 2025, with three more fatalities reported in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In the same period, 448 new dengue patients were hospitalized, bringing the total number of hospital admissions this year to 24,183. Of these, 3,203 cases and 18 deaths occurred in August alone.
Currently, 1,374 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals nationwide — 389 in Dhaka and 985 in other divisions.
DGHS data shows monthly hospital admissions this year as follows: January (1,161 cases, 10 deaths), February (374 cases, 3 deaths), March (336 cases), April (701 cases, 7 deaths), May (1,773 cases, 3 deaths), June (5,951 cases, 19 deaths), and July (10,684 cases, 41 deaths).
