The north Indian states on Monday were swept by a Biting cold and dense fog which lowered the visibility.
The temperature settles to a minimum 4 degrees Celsius in the national capital. The visibility was as low as close to 50 metres in some parts of Delhi.
Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan dipped over the past week with the onset of cold wave.
The minimum temperature in Srinagar settled at minus 5.8 degrees Celsius, down from minus 5.4 degrees Celsius Thursday night, the officials said.
