The government has promoted seven police officers from the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) to Additional Inspector General (Additional IGP).
This information was announced on Monday, August 11, through an official notification issued by the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The officers promoted include Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, DIG of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn); G M Azizur Rahman, DIG of the Special Branch (SB); Md. Sarwar, Additional Police Commissioner (DIG) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP); Md. Mostafa Kamal, DIG of the Armed Police Battalion; Kazi Md. Fazlul Karim, DIG of the Police Headquarters; Md. Rezaul Karim, DIG of the Highway Police; and Md. Ahsan Habib Palash, DIG of the Chattogram Range.
