US President Donald Trump has ruled out any involvement of the United States in Bangladesh’s ongoing issues, reports UNB.
"Well, there was no role for our deep state. This is something that the Prime Minister has been working on for a long time and has worked on for hundreds of years, frankly. I have been reading about it. But I will leave Bangladesh to the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi)," he said.
He made the remarks while responding to a question at a joint press conference with PM Modi following a bilateral meeting in Washington on Friday morning (Bangladesh time).
The two leaders primarily discussed trade and India-US relations, but Trump dismissed a question regarding Bangladesh’s situation.
