Two senior judges of Iran`s Supreme Court were gunned down outside a tribunal building in Tehran.
The shooter, identified as an armed man, opened fire at the judges and then tragically ended his own life by turning the gun on himself, as per the Iranian judiciary`s media center.
The two victims, Hojjat al-Islam Rajini and Hojjat al-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Mokiseh, were both prominent figures in Iran’s judicial system.
They had been serving in different branches of the court, handling significant cases.
According to a statement from the judiciary, the two judges,
"were actively involved in fighting crimes related to national security, espionage, and terrorism. They were brave and experienced in their roles."
As of now, there has been no immediate information released about the attacker’s identity or his motive behind the tragic killings. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
