UK lifts travel restrictions for travelers from Bangladesh

Bangladesh is among the 32 countries from which the United Kingdom has lifted its advice against non-essential travel.

The matter was revealed through British media The Telegraph UK.

On Wednesday, The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK government updated its earlier international travel red-list and relaxed the travel restrictions to Bangladesh and 31 other countries.

The updates come after thorough assessment of Covid-19 situation in these countries.

In this regard, the FCDO said the change means people would be able to travel to a larger number of destinations with greater ease.

This will make it easier for people visiting those locations to obtain travel insurance, the FCDO stated.

The other countries that are open to travel are Algeria, American Samoa, Armenia, Belarus, Benin, Comoros, Congo, Tokelau & Niue, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Fiji, French Polynesia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Kosovo, Liberia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Solomon Islands, Togo, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
