In a recent nationwide operation aimed at maintaining law and order, 1308 individuals have been arrested across the country.

The operation, named ‘Operation Devil Hunt,’ was launched by the joint forces to crack down on criminal activities.

According to a message sent out by the Police Headquarters to the media, the arrests took place between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Out of the total arrests, 274 were made in the capital and other metropolitan areas, while 1034 individuals were taken into custody from different districts.

The special operation began on Saturday after a violent attack on students and civilians in Gazipur.

The Ministry of Home Affairs held a meeting with law enforcement agencies to discuss how to restore order in the affected areas.

In the meeting, it was decided that ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ would be conducted to apprehend those responsible for the violence and ensure the safety of the public.

The coordinated effort by the authorities is seen as a necessary step to bring those responsible for the unrest to justice and keep the peace across the country.
