Awami league leader Manjur Rahman Manju assassinated in Natore

Awami Leader Manjur Rahman Manju was brutally shot dead by unidentified assailants in front of Azimpur railway station in Gopalpur municipality of Natore. The shocking incident occurred around 10:30 pm, sending shockwaves throughout the community.

Confirming the devastating event, the Superintendent of Police of Natore stated, "This incident happened in front of a shop of Azimpur railway station of Gopalpur municipality of Lalpur upazila at night. At that time, four or five masked terrorists came and shot him in the head and stomach. They left after killing Manju."

The victim, identified as Manjur Razman Manju, hailed from Bahadipur village and held the position of Vice-President of Municipal Awami League. Eyewitnesses revealed that Manju was seated in front of Rabiul Islam Confectionery shop near Azimanghar railway station when the assailants, riding two motorcycles, approached him at approximately 10:30 pm. Without warning, they opened fire, fatally injuring him in the head and stomach before fleeing the scene.

Manju succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Despite the efforts of locals to rush him to Gopalpur Mukta General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, the damage was irreparable.
