A fire broke out in a jhut (used clothing) warehouse in a residential area of Gazipur on Thursday afternoon.
Five units of the Fire Service are working to control the blaze, confirmed Abdullah Al Arefin, Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service.
The fire broke out around 3:00 PM in the warehouse located in the Ambag area. Upon receiving the news, five units from Gazipur, Joydebpur, and surrounding areas rushed to the scene to bring the fire under control, he said.
However, the immediate cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined. The Fire Service personnel were still working to bring the fire under control at the time of filing this report at 4:50 pm on Thursday.
