The recent wave of violence in Bandarban, notably the orchestrated attack on Sonali Bank`s branch in Ruma on April 2, accompanied by a dramatic money heist and the kidnapping of the bank manager, heightened concerns. Subsequently, a robbery occurred at branches of Sonali Bank and Bangladesh Krishi Bank in Thanchi Upazila on April 3, prompting the filing of seven cases in connection with these incidents.
Despite these developments, no leaders or armed members of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) have been officially named as suspects in the ongoing investigations, leaving the authorities with a challenging task ahead in unraveling the complexities of these orchestrated events.
