Two persons including one pedestrian sustained bullet injury in a shootout over sharing money at Dhaka’s Gulshan 1 area.
According to Md Abdul Ahad, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Gulshan Division, informed the media that Aminul and his friend Ohidul got into a clash over money at 4:30pm beside Gloria Jean's Coffees, next to the Gulshan-1 DCC Market.
Aminul sustained a leg injury when both of them at one point started firing. He was brought to a nearby hospital and Ohidul was taken to police custody, Ahad added.
According to him, law-enforcers were checking the licensing issues of the firearms used by the duo.
Masudur Rahman Monir additional deputy commissioner of Gulshan Division said that the other injured pedestrian received initial treatment.
Although the clash started at DCC Market it ended up running into the premises of Gloria Jean's, said Saiful Islam, senior vice chairman of Navana Group also owner of the posh coffee shop.
