Police stated on Thursday that they had arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of an elderly couple in Alamdanga municipality, all of whom were taken into custody in separate locations inside Chuadanga district.
Shahabul Haque, son of Bazlur Rahman, Rajib Hossain, son of Pintu Rahman, Bidyut Ali, son of Masud Ali, and Sakil Hossain, son of Taj Uddin of the upazila, have been identified as the individuals who have been arrested.
Police recovered hand bags, Tk 43,000 in cash, mobile phones and other belongings of the couple from the possession of the accused.
Later on in the day, they will be presented in court.
Najir Uddin, 70, and his wife Farida Khatun, 60, were discovered dead in their home on September 24 in the Chuadanga district's Alamdanga municipality. The couple's daughter Daliara Parvin Shila complained to the Alamdanga police, who then filed a FIR for murder.
