Police recovered the bodies of five members of a family, including three children, from a house in Gazipur’s Kapashia upazila early Saturday.
The victims included a woman, her three children and her brother.
Their identities were not immediately confirmed by police.
According to investigators, the family had been living in a rented house in the Rahatkhana area and originally came from Gopalganj.
Bangladesh Police said the bodies were found with throat injuries.
Kapashia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahinur Alam said the woman’s husband, Forkan, is suspected of carrying out the killings before fleeing the scene.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to a hospital morgue for autopsy.
