The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00 am on Wednesday.
According to the weather forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning, are likely at many places in the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
A few areas in Rajshahi, Khulna and Dhaka divisions may also experience rainfall and thunderstorms during the period.
The Met Office said some parts of the country could receive moderately heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, both day and night temperatures are expected to increase slightly across Bangladesh.
Meteorologists said a trough extending from Gangetic West Bengal to the northwestern Bay of Bengal continues to influence the weather pattern. The monsoon remains fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over the northern part of the Bay.
