The ruling Awami League observed the clash of BNP leaders and activists with the police at various places on Saturday during BNP`s sit-in program at all the entrances of the capital.
Following this, a joint meeting of various units of Awami League and associate organizations of the ruling party has been called at Bangabandhu Avenue`s central office of Bangladesh Awami League at around 4:30pm on Saturday.
Awami League`s office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua sent a message to the media on Saturday afternoon in this regard.
According to the message, an emergency joint meeting will be held at the central office of Bangladesh Awami League at 23, Bangabandhu Avenue, along with the definite number of leaders of Bangladesh Awami League, presidents-general secretaries of Dhaka city North and South unit of Awami League.
Also the associate bodies of the organizations (eg: Juba League, Swechasebak League, Chhatra League and others), party members who are currently parliamentarian from Dhaka city area constituencies are also invited to the joint meeting.
Regarding clashes between BNP and law enforces across the city, Obaidul Quader, General Secretary of Awami League also the minister of Road Transport and Bridges told the media that his party was observing the whole situation.
