Chief Election Commissioner, Kazi Habibul Awal said BNP was not invited for any conversation. Rather, a letter has been given to the party for informal discussions.
BNP is now agitating to demand elections under a non-partisan government. They are unwilling to enter into a conversation with the EC on any other issue. The Election Commission says that they do not have the authority to decide how the government will be during the election. The ruling Awami League says there is no chance to bring back a non-partisan government. In this situation, the EC again sent a letter to BNP to participate in the discussion. The EC wrote to BNP to hold a meeting at a convenient time to discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Suddenly there are many discussions in the political arena about such an initiative of the Election Commission. It is also being said that the government is behind this letter to bring BNP to the election.
In such a situation, CEC said, BNP has not been invited to a conversation. Rather, they are called on an informal discussions by the Election Commission. This invitation was not even discussed with the government. There is no trick.
