BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, `one thing must always be remembered, we are not alone. The Western world who believe in democracy, are committed and are helping us. There is no way to deny it".
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the seminar on the role of the domestic and international community in restoring the country`s democracy and what we should do now and the unveiling of the book `No Comments` in the capital`s Gulshan on Sunday
Mirza Fakhrul said about the current movement of party leaders and activists, "We all have come down to the streets. There is no disappointment among our party leaders. There is no despair among those who are in the field. Victory will be ours".
Mirza Fakhrul said that the Prime Minister is using the state by usurping power illegally. She has decided to hold elections in the same manner this time too.
Fakhrul said, "We also want elections. But that election should be such, where the people can exercise their rights".
Regarding Khaleda Zia, Fakhrul said, "Our national leader Begum Khaleda Zia has not surrendered in the midst of so much illness and torture. So I believe, our struggle will be successful and we will be able to liberate democracy. At the same time we must also remember that we who are fighting must intensify our fight. We are down to make decisions on the streets. And the final victory must be achieved by us. I think that the second liberation of the people of Bangladesh will be possible there".
