After several postponements, the film “Pinik”, featuring Ador Azad and Shobnom Bubly, is finally confirmed for release next Eid-ul-Fitr, according to the makers.
The movie created strong buzz since production began in late 2024, with an initial plan to premiere during this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr.
Although preparations were in full swing, the release was halted at the last moment.
The team later eyed Eid-ul-Adha and even Durga Puja as alternative release slots, but those plans also fell through.
Ending months of speculation, director Zahid Jewel announced that the film will hit theatres next Eid-ul-Fitr. “We took extra time to ensure quality. Every frame had to be perfect. We believe viewers will enjoy Pinik next Eid,” he told the media.
Produced by Euro Bangla Entertainment, the film is co-produced by Shimul Khan, who also plays a role in the movie. He mentioned that only one song sequence was pending, which caused the delay. Described as a mix of mystery and psychological thriller, director Jewel said Pinik aims to combine multiple cinematic elements. “Bangladeshi cinema has many genres—action, thriller, horror, romance. With Pinik, we wanted to merge all these shades. The story will take viewers through suspense, emotion, and thrill, keeping them engaged till the very end,” he added.
Besides Ador and Bubly, the ensemble cast includes Ali Raj, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Azad Abul Kalam, Momena Chowdhury, Masum Bashar, Somu Chowdhury, Sharif Siraj, and AK Azad Setu. Production insiders say promotional campaigns for the film will commence soon.
