Popular Bangladeshi singer Nazmun Munira Nancy got engaged on Monday (August 23). She confirmed the news to several media outlets.
The 33-year-old singer exchanged rings with popular Bangladeshi record label Anupam Music’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and lyricist Mohsin Mehedi.
She even posted the announcement on her personal Facebook profile.
She told the press that they were hoping to get married at a small family gathering soon. Yet, they had to cancel those plans due to the current Covid-19 situation.
She also said that she does not know when they can get married with the upsurge in infection rates. She also thinks that they might get hitched suddenly.
Fans are sending their best wishes to the new couple on social media platforms.
Several media outlets reported that Mohsin and Nancy knew each other for a long time as they both work in the local music industry.
Last year, Nancy even sang one of the tracks written by Mohsin called, ‘Emon Ekta Mon.’ The track was released from CMV.
Nazmun Munira Nancy, and her second husband Nazimuzzan Zayed, had been acquitted in a woman's torture case back in 2019 which became national news.
Her sister-in-law (her brother Sunny’s wife) Samiun Nahar Shanu filed the case with Netrakona Sadar police station under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act on September 6, 2019.
In 2006, Nancy married a businessman named Abu Syed Sourob and has a three-year-old baby girl named Rodela.
On 4 March 2013, Nancy married an employee of Mymensingh city corporation named Nazimuzzaman Zayed for the second time. They have a daughter, Nayla, who was born on January 8, 2014.
In August 2014, Nancy attempted to commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills in her father's residence in Netrakona.
