Tapas Das, the last remaining member of the iconic Bangla rock band Moheener Ghoraguli, has departed. He was in the third stage of cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.
He had been battling cancer for a long time, and his family was also trying to raise funds for treatment. On two occasions this year, artists from both sides of Bengal joined together to raise donations for his cancer treatment. However, he died earlier today, before the concert honoring him could take place in Bangladesh on July 14.
Moheener Ghoraguli was one of the first Bangla rock bands in 1975. It`s been nearly 47 years since they first appeared. Nonetheless, their songs are still popular today. Even though their songs are still widespread, the band members have passed away one by one.
With their captivating melody, Moheener Ghoraguli revolutionized Bengali music, bringing about profound changes.
