Bangladesh women’s kabaddi team defeats Thailand in Beach Games opener

Bangladesh women‍‍`s national kabaddi team began their Asian Beach Games campaign with a dominant win, defeating Thailand women‍‍`s national kabaddi team 51–34 in Sanya, China on Thursday.

Bangladesh took control early with aggressive raiding and disciplined defence, gradually building a lead despite initial resistance from Thailand. They went into the break with a comfortable advantage and maintained their momentum throughout the second half.

The team continued to dominate in both attack and defence after halftime, preventing Thailand from mounting a comeback and sealing a convincing 17-point victory.

The result strengthens Bangladesh’s position as a strong contender in beach kabaddi and provides a confidence boost ahead of the next matches.

They are set to face Nepal women‍‍`s national kabaddi team in their second game on Friday.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Aminul Haque congratulated the team, praising their performance and expressing hope for continued success in the tournament.
