FIFA said it will review its ticket pricing approach for the 2030 World Cup after strong criticism over high prices for the 2026 tournament.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafstrom said ticket prices for the 2026 event in North America reflect market conditions, but added that the organisation is listening to fan concerns.
He said FIFA will study feedback and consider changes for future tournaments.
The issue has drawn criticism from fan groups, including Football Supporters Europe, which has complained about very high ticket costs and taken legal action over pricing.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has defended the pricing, saying it is driven by high demand and the use of dynamic pricing systems.
Reports have shown that resale ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup final have reached extremely high levels, with some listings costing tens of thousands of dollars.
Grafstrom said the money earned from the World Cup will be used to support football development worldwide through FIFA programmes.
He added that the long-term benefit of the tournament lies in how the funds are reinvested to grow the game globally.
