Former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal has denied rumors that he cast his vote in the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections held on Monday.
Speculations circulated in the media and on social platforms that Tamim had participated in the voting despite withdrawing his candidacy earlier, citing interference and other issues.
In a Facebook post, Tamim dismissed the claims, writing, “I have seen in various media reports and other platforms that I voted in the BCB election. This is completely untrue.”
He further clarified, “I had earlier applied for e-voting as I was abroad at the time. However, as a councillor of Old DOHS Club, I neither participated in the election nor cast my vote.”
