Bangladesh team made it into the Open Finals of the Belgrade World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) 2022, which is often referred to as the "world cup of debating".
Bangladeshi's Sajid Asbat Khandaker and Sourodip Paul, representing BRAC A, are the very first team from Bangladesh to make it to the finals of this illustrious event.
The students of BRAC University were ranked fifth in the Open Category, during the preliminary rounds of the tournament. This shattered the previous record ever held by any Bangladeshi team — a record which was in fact held by the same pair.
The final will take place at 7:00 PM on Wednesday Bangladesh time, where they will face teams from Princeton University, National University of Singapore, and Ateneo de Manila University. It will be streamed live on the Belgrade WUDC Live Streams Facebook page.
