Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance train tickets from May 14 to facilitate smooth travel for Eid holidaymakers. As in previous years, all tickets will be available exclusively online.
Tickets for journeys on May 31 will be released on May 21, while tickets for outbound travel from June 1 to 6 will be available on May 22 to 27, respectively.
Return tickets will be sold starting May 30, beginning with trips scheduled for June 9. Tickets for return journeys from June 10 to 15 will be released from May 31 to June 5.
To manage the expected surge in Eid travellers, five pairs of special Eid trains will operate on various routes.
The ticketing schedule was finalised during a preparatory meeting held at Dhaka`s Bidyut Bhaban. Railways Secretary Fahimul Islam announced the details, while Railways Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan presided over the meeting.
