Authorities have revealed that 1,400 weapons and 250,000 bullets, looted after the August 5 incident last year, are still unaccounted for.
This news comes after Lieutenant General (Retd.) Abdul Hafiz, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on defense matters, issued directions to the District Commissioners to take action and ensure the recovery of these weapons and ammunition.
Abdul Hafiz spoke with reporters on Tuesday, following the first session of the final day of the three-day District Commissioner Conference.
During his address, he stressed the importance of staying vigilant to prevent any sabotage attempts from the “fascist government,” urging the District Commissioners to be extra cautious.
Regarding military training for the youth, Hafiz shared that training for one company in each union is already underway through the Ansar and VDP programs.
He also mentioned that the government is open to expanding this initiative, and they will consider the suggestions made by the District Commissioners.
Additionally, Hafiz reaffirmed that the operation against the Kuki Chin rebels would continue until they are completely eliminated, ensuring that the mission remains a top priority.
This ongoing situation has raised concerns about the safety and security of the nation, with authorities working to resolve the matter swiftly.
