In a significant development, Bangladesh`s Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, met with Pakistan`s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif today in Cairo, Egypt.

During the conversation, Yunus and Sharif discussed the expansion of SAARC activities and other matters of shared interest.

Additionally, Professor Yunus updated Prime Minister Sharif on the government`s ongoing reforms and the plan to hold general elections by mid-2026.
He also mentioned that he is leading a commission to engage in discussions on these reforms.
