The Eid advance ticket sale started on Friday. Tickets for April, 17 were sold out within minutes of the first day of ticket sales. But today the situation seems different. Ticket aspirants were unable to enter online on time. So they could not even buy tickets on time.
Kamalapur Railway Station Manager, Masud Sarwar told reporters that due to the high pressure of advance train ticket seekers, complications have arisen in the server. This is why ticket sales are slow.
"At least 1 million visitors can access the Bangladesh Railway app every minute. Eight thousand tickets can be sold per minute. But today the number of ticket aspirants is very high. At least 13 lakh visitors are entering at once, due to which complications have arisen due to excessive pressure on the server", he added.
Those who are not able to enter the server sitting at home, are not able to buy tickets, they are crowding in front of the counter at Kamalapur station.
Tickets for April 18 are being sold on Saturday (April 8), and tickets for April 19 will be sold on Sunday (April 9), Monday (April 10) for April 20, and Tuesday (April 11) for April 21.
Similarly, tickets for return will be sold from April 15. On the first day (April 15) tickets for April 25 will be sold, tickets for April 26 will be sold on April 16, tickets for April 27 will be sold on April 17, tickets for April 28 will be sold on April 18, tickets for April 29 will be sold on April 19 and tickets for April 20 will be sold on April 30.
On the occasion of Eid, the inter-country Mitali Express train will be closed from April 18-27 and the Maitri Express train will be closed from April 20-27. However, inter-country Bandhan Express trains will run as usual.
