Miscreants attack BGB patrol team in Cumilla

A gang of suspected drug peddlers has attacked a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) patrol team at Shashongacha in Cumilla.

The incident took place at 8pm on Tuesday, said Kamal Krisna Dhar, inspector of Kotwali Model Police Station.

He said:"A group of suspected drug peddlers chased a BGB patrol team and hurled stones targeting the officials. They entered the camp and vandalised a vehicle."

"Later, BGB officials took shelter at the camp of Railway Max Company Limited," he added. 

Being informed, a police team rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

However, no official statement from BGB was issued in this regard.
