Fire service and civil defence headquarters has formed a 5 member committee to investigate the big blast in a building near moc Bazar wireless Gate on Sunday evening.
Brigadier-general Sajjad Hussain, director general of fire service and civil defence, disclosed the information to the media after visiting the site late Sunday night.
“The committee has been asked to submit a report within 7 working days”, Mohammed Sajid added.
The fire service chief also suspected gas leakage as the most possible cause of the blast.
Meanwhile, police disregarded the possibility of militant involvement behind the blast.
“Splinters would have been scattered at the same if it were a bomb blast”, said the DMP commissioner Shafiqul Islam.
At least 7 people were killed following a big blast in a building near Mogbazar Wireless Gate on Sunday evening leaving dozens injured.
