The government has cancelled the appointments of all previously appointed deputy attorneys general and assistant attorneys general and appointed 86 new deputy attorneys general and 179 assistant attorneys general.
The Solicitor Wing of the Ministry of Law issued two separate gazette notifications regarding the appointments on Thursday.
The notifications said that the President, exercising powers under Article 3(1) of the Bangladesh Law Officers Order, 1972 (P.O. No. 6 of 1972), cancelled the appointment orders of all previously appointed deputy attorneys general and assistant attorneys general and appointed 86 deputy attorneys general and 179 assistant attorneys general.
The lists of the newly appointed deputy attorneys general and assistant attorneys general have been published in the Ministry of Law`s notifications.
