Murad stripped off his final post from Awami League union unit

Dr. Murad Hassa has been striped off his post as member of the executive committee of the Awami League’s Awona union in his native Jamalpur’s Sharishabari upazila.

He stepped down last week as a state minister after his derogatory remarks circulated social media platform for a week. 

Local party unit’s President Belal Hossain said the decision was made unanimously following a meeting of the committee's members on Thursday (December 9). 

Murad has been relieved of his post for involvement in tarnishing the party’s image and violating the rules, reported various media citing the Awami League leader.
