Various parts of Chattogram city has been inundated due to tidal wave triggered by monsoon rain.
The port city has been experiencing intermittent rain since Tuesday (August 24) night which turned heavy shower early Wednesday submerging parts of the city and leaving the office-goers and commuters amid grave sufferings.
The city’s Patenga weather office sources said, 28 mm rain was recorded till 9 am Wednesday in last 24 hours.
Ambagan met office claimed to have recorded 60 mm rain during the same period.
“Ambagan area of the city witnessed heavy rain. However, there is no cautionary signal. The monsoon triggered rain which may continue till Thursday,” met office official Sheikh Farid Ahmed told the media.
The incessant rain left Sholoshohor, Muradpur, Agrabad, Halishohor and several other parts inundated. Waterlogging is created in various parts.
