Sadarghat fully packed on first day of Eid holidays

On the first day of the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, the Sadarghat launch terminal, the main river port of the capital, was crowded with people. The crowd started from early in the morning. After the opening of the Padma Bridge for vehicles, the number of passengers at Sadarghat decreased, but the passenger pressure increased during the Eid holidays.

The number of passengers at the terminal increased from early morning. Especially the presence of passengers going to Chandpur is the highest. A few days ago, where the launch did not leave at a certain time due to lack of passengers, today the launches are leaving the dock full due to the pressure of passengers.

The cabins of the launch are filled and the deck is also seen crowded with passengers. Apart from this, even though there is no launch available in the morning, many of the passengers going to Barisal, Bhola, Barguna, Hatia, Patuakhali have come to book cabins and call in advance to take seats.

Passengers said that the fare of the launch cabins has been slightly increased than usual. But the cabin fare which were booked in advance was normal. Apart from this, while the fares of the Barisal-bound launches were as usual, the fares of the Bhola-bound launches were slightly higher than usual.
