Son of Interim Government Advisor accused of domestic abuse by Ex-Wife

Muaz Arif, the son of AF Hasan Arif, an advisor to the Ministry of Land in the Interim Government, has been accused of abusing his ex-wife.

The case was filed by his former spouse, Madhabi Akter Nila, who reported the abuse to the Ramna Police Station in Dhaka.

On December 2, Monday, Masud Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Ramna Division at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the incident. 

He explained that the woman had submitted a formal complaint of abuse, and based on that, a case was registered under the Women Abuse Act.

Muaz Arif is the only person named in the case. Police will take further action after completing the investigation.

It has been confirmed that Muaz Arif is the son of AF Hasan Arif, who is an advisor to the Ministry of Land in the current interim government.
