Bangladesh has the ability to maintain law and order both within its borders and across them, according to a recent report from the US State Department.
The assessment emphasized Bangladesh's capacity to monitor its land and marine borders as well as recent enhancements in airport screening for passengers and cargo, including new technology, improved protocols, and more personnel.
Although Bangladesh has implemented e-passports for everyone and shares information with Interpol, it does not have a specialized terrorist watchlist, according to the report, which also claimed that aviation security is not as strong.
The report asserted that Bangladesh does not routinely screen passengers before flights arrive using API/PNR passenger information.
The 2021 Country Reports on Terrorism (CRT), published by the Department of State, offer a thorough examination of the counterterrorism landscape in that year.
