A group of Bangladesh Railway temporary workers has blocked the rail line at Karwan Bazar in the capital, effectively cutting off Dhaka`s rail connection to the rest of the country.
The workers blocked the rail tracks around 10:00am.
Officer in charge of Kamalapur Railway Police Station, Md Ferdous confirmed the news of this issue from the spot at 11:45am.
The workers were demanding permanent employment and opposed job outsourcings.
